Drop Dead Beats: Bio

In 1931 at the crossroads in Rosedale, Mississippi, Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil, what followed were remarkable songs of death and a tormented soul approaching the end of its rope.
Now from another dirty stretch of road comes whiskey fueled songs of death and torment from four souls approaching the end of their rope.
The DropDeadBeats invoke the spirits of long dead Rock n Roll traditions combining country, blues, surf, punk, and rhythm and blues to create their own brand of psycho-rockabilly affectionately called “Horror-Tonk”
Anyone who tells you that this ain't 50’s has obviously never listened to Hasil Adkins or Screaming Jay Hawkins.
Anyone who tells you that this ain't country has obviously never listened to Hank Williams or J.R. Cash.
Anyone who tells you this ain't psycho has obviously never heard The Cramps or the Meteors
And anyone who tells you that this ain't blues has never heard “Hellhound On My Trail”

The band’s driving voodoo jungle rhythms are provided by “The King of the Cowbell” Anthony Munster on the stand up Zombie drums.
The upright slap bass that will make you slap yo momma brought to you by Grim Jim Crowley.
Shreading and slashing through song after song with murderess delight on lead geetar our saviour Jesus the Strangler .
And guiding you down this road of desperation is Jimmy Lugosi, a mad drunken vehicle of despair filling your ears with stories of pain, loss, booze and breasts!

If you like drinking, driving fast, killing and sex then the DropDeadBeats are what you’ve been looking for all along.
